We are specialists in insightful natural history travel to the Western Ghats of south India - a mountainous global biodviersity hotspot. We offer a wide range of itineraries that focus on birds, wildlife and other highlights of the ecoregion's fascinating biodiversity.



Extended weekends:

Typically 3 nights/4 days travel to both popular and rarely visited natural locations in south India. We explore these locations for their characteristic flora & fauna, often avoiding typical tourist routes and activities, making for a more natural travel experience.



Long Breaks:

Comprehensive itineraries, covering multiple natural locations in the Western Ghats - created specifically for serious birdwatchers and wildlife & photography enthusiasts who travel to south India. The itineraries also provide ample opportunities to experience south India's varied cuisines and friendly people in a safe and comfortable environment.

The great Indian hornbill (Buceros bicornis), a large, mostly frugivorous bird, occurs in mature forests throughout South India's Western Ghats.

The moist forests of the Western Ghats are noteworthy for high levels of endemism among amphibians.

Shola-grasslands, a montane ecosystem, of the Mukurthi National Park, Nilgiris. Shola-grasslands are limited to altitudes above 1700m.
